Take your Double Knitting to the next stage.
In this class we will learn how to perform decreases as well as negative/positive double-layer knitting. If you are an adventurous knitter this could even be your first Double Knitting project!

Prerequisite: experienced knitter

Sizes: head circumference 20” – 22”
for a smaller size use skinnier yarn and smaller needles for a larger size use larger needles and heavier yarn


Purchase, Download and Print a copy of Sky Diamond Hat 1117 by Lucy Neatby NEEDLE: size US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE NOTIONS: crochet hook one size smaller than your needles

plus all your regular gadget bag items: scissors, stitch markers, etc. Pattern calls for Worsted wt yarn in two (2) colors-

1) variegated or self striping – approx. 100 yds.

2) solid color in completely contrasting color – approx. 100 yds.
If you need to make a smaller or larger hat you might want to wait for first class to choose yarn

Homework: None! We will knit gauge swatch in first class. So that means bring several different size needles with you.
