Knitted or Crocheted Knockers

February 19 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 11:00am on day Third of the month, repeating until April 16, 2018

We have a wonderful group who will be knitting and crocheting “Knockers” for a really good cause the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 11:00AM – 1:00PM!
Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable. They typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast.

You will find patterns for knockers here in every size, fabric requirements (Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton is highly recommended and we have it in the shop) and whatever method you prefer to use knitting in the round.  They also offer a pattern for crocheted knockers.  Download your pattern and come work on these with us at the shop.
