Instructor: Julie Cashin
1 three-hour workshop
Class will start at 10:30am with a break at noon for a quick bite for lunch and resume at 1:00pm finishing up at 2:30pm.
Granny like you’ve never seen her!
Smaller hook size, smaller yarn in gorgeous hand-dyed colors changes the old granny square into a watercolor fabric landscape!
This class is jammed full of technique! We will begin with the magic ring which eliminates the large hole in the center of Granny. We will change colors, work from a schematic AND join as we go!
Eliminting having to sew all those squares together! We’ll finish her up with a darling little ruffle on each end. Basic crochet skills are required (single and double crochet).
• Pattern will be provided by the instructor.
• Homework brush up on single and double crochet stitches
Supply list for class A collection of fingering yarns work well for this piece.
600 yds for main color, this can be all one color or a number of blended colors.
200 yards for the “leaves”. Again, this can be a number of colors or even a multi colored yarn.
100 yds for the center “flowers” I used shades of pink, orange and everything in between including a few scraps.
C and D hooks
Supplies must be purchased at BMYS. Thank you!
